Eeek Alors! It’s Day 28 of my chum John’s 30-day build of his LEGO Ultimate A-Wing Starfighter We really are on the final countdown (just saying that makes me think of The Final Countdown song, which was released by Swedish rock band Europe in 1986).

John’s message accompanying today’s column was as follows: “The stand is finished. The final bit was another transfer, which gives the details of the fighter.”
John continued to say: “I’ve opened the last bag of LEGO pieces and completed another fin (which you can’t see since it’s on the far side) which drops below the fighter and, again, it can be tilted. Just one more fin and the armaments for both sides to be completed. We’re nearly there!”
I had it in mind to talk about a certain book, but that will have to wait because, while I’m thinking about it, I just posted a column Alone in the Universe? We’ll Know Soon! In this column we consider the tragedy of the moon, the triumph of the moon, the Drake equation, the Fermi paradox, and the fact that the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) may prove to be “the ultimate alien hunter!”
Also, as I’ve mentioned before, in the context of life, some books that are really worthwhile reading are: Life’s Ratchet: How Molecular Machines Extract Order from Chaos by Peter M Hoffmann, Wetware: A Computer in Every Living Cell by Dennis Bray, and The Machinery of Life by David S. Goodsell.
Last, but not least, regarding my aforementioned column. In the title I say, “We’ll Know Soon!” But now I’m wondering if I should have said “We’ll Soon Know!” What say you? What are your thoughts on this?
