Even though I refer to my office as the “Pleasure Dome,” it’s important to know that this is just a name I bestowed on it to make me feel happier (“Pit of Gloom, Despondency, and Despair” didn’t have quite the ring I was looking for).
Although I’ve been blessed with a cheerful disposition (not to mention my outrageously good looks and my world-renowned sense of fashion), there are days when things are not as they should be in Max’s World, where (usually) the flowers are more colorful and smell nicer, the butterflies are bodacious and brighter, the birds are fluffier and sing sweeter, and the beer runs plentiful and cold (you’ll have to come visit sometime).
Today was such a day. Too many crises to contend with, too many fires to fight, and too many friends being brought low by the cruel hand of fate. And then, out of the gloom, my chum Aubrey Kagan sent me a link to this video, which returned the smile to my face and the dimples to my cheeks.
Maybe you’ve seen this video snippet before (it’s received 126,606,018 views as I pen these words), but I had not previously had the pleasure. All I can say is that this really cheered me up. In fact, I can’t help but feel that this would be a tonic to anyone who sees it, so please feel free to share the link to this blog with anyone and everyone you know. Meanwhile, do you have any “feel-good” videos you’d care to share with the rest of us?
There are always the “Where’s Matt” videos…

I love the Where’s Matt videos — and the 2008 one you link to is my favorite — I also like the “Danny MacAskill’s Wee Day Out” video: https://youtu.be/K_7k3fnxPq0
There is a video of ravens rolling around in the snow

Now I want to roll around in the snow myself 🙂
