Over and over again, I’m surprised at the synchronicity that appears to permeate my life. It almost makes me believe there might be an underlying reason to life, the universe, and everything, even though I know in my heart of hearts that synchronicity really refers to the simultaneous occurrence of events that appear to be significantly related but that actually have no discernible causal connection.
The reason for today’s meandering musings is that my chum Jay Dowling just sent me an email containing a somewhat cryptic message that could be open to multiple interpretations: “I want this, and I know you want it too!”
I have long fought to control the power of my personality, especially since… “the incident,” so I have to admit to breathing a sigh of relief when I saw the accompanying link to this video showing two robot arms responding to voice commands.
This is where the synchronicity kicked in, because I had no sooner cast my orbs over Jay’s video than my email Inbox “pinged” to inform me of the arrival of a communication from Alireza Kenarsari-Anhari, who is the CEO at Picovoice.ai
In his message, Alireza spake as follows: “We are about to release our No-Code Voice AI platform for microcontrollers. Check out this video.”
Alireza went on to say, “Maybe you fancy creating your own voice AI using our tool and then deploying your new AI to a microcontroller? If so, we would love to demonstrate the tool.”
Well, you know me, I have a deep-seated belief that I was born to rule the world, and what better way to do so than by means of voice commands issued using my commanding voice? Furthermore, I currently have a couple of hobby projects on the go that would greatly benefit from being augmented by a speech recognition AI. As a result, I will be chatting with Alireza in just a few hours at the time of this writing, and I will report further in a future column.
In the meantime, as always, I welcome your comments, questions, and suggestions (especially the ones that start off by telling me how wonderful I am, but don’t let me put words in your mouth).
I’d also fancy ruling the world. And I can tell you, I’d be using the phrase “Off with his head!” a bit more often then those wusses who currently purport to rule us.
And what better to help me in my duties than a pair of voice controlled decapitating robots? Now there’s an idea……
I’ll tell you what — you can rule Australia and I’ll handle everything else 🙂
