As you may or may not know, the folks at Altium offer amazing design software for printed circuit boards (PCBs). Moreover, as you may or may not know, I’ve been writing a series of “newsy” type articles for them. Well, I just bounced over to have a meander around the Altium website, as you do, and I spotted that they recently posted three columns that I submitted a while back and forgot all about. I couldn’t help myself; I had to take a look to see what I’d said. Now, while trying to remain humble (I pride myself on my humility — you’d have to travel a long way to find someone more humble that me), I would be fibbing if I failed to say that I found these little rascals to be rather interesting. And then I started peeking at some of my earlier offerings on Altium’s site, and I found myself saying things like “Wow, I’d forgotten all about that!” and “I can’t remember ever knowing that!” and “Ooh, my chum Xxxx would be interested in that!” And then it struck me that readers of my Cool Beans Blog might also be interested in these bodacious beauties, which prompted me to pen this post. A handful of my Altium articles that caught my eye are as follows: But these are just a tempting taster. If you enjoy the five columns above, feel free to bounce over to Altium’s Engineering News area which, amongst other things, boasts the entire Altium Archive of Genuine Maxes (accept no false imitations) and — if you have a moment free — it would be great if you were to post a comment or two on those columns saying what you think.
